“It’s Not How Good You Are, It’s How Good You Want To Be”

For over 40 years, Roy Black taught this course at the University of Miami Law school.  He designed this course to teach a set of principles that he learned from over four decades working in courtrooms. These rules are not step-by-step instructions but basic building blocks which can be adapted to any set of problems a trial lawyer might face.

Although he will no longer be teaching this class, we leave his teaching legacy available here.  You may follow the quick links on the sidebar to become familiar with the class ideologies that he taught.
